eyeMedics Specialist Eye Centre at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah is an eye diagnostic and treatment centre devoted to the treatment and management of various eye conditions and diseases in adults and children. Our team provides a complete range of eye care services in a welcoming environment.
Our eye specialist, Dr Terrence Soong, is an experienced consultant ophthalmologist and retinal surgeon. He will take the time to diagnose and explain your condition and the treatment options available to you. We also have experienced nurses and support staff on our team who will provide assistance to patients every step of the way. As part of our commitment towards the environment, we are a paperless clinic, using electronic medical records.
We believe in making expert and compassionate eye care accessible to everyone at an affordable cost. Nevertheless, our aim is to provide excellent outcomes and greater patient satisfaction, rather than trying to offer the cheapest service. That is why we take as much time as is needed to listen to patients.
We offer a comfortable, relaxing environment combined with a convenient location in Kota Kinabalu and ample parking. For those who are coming from further afield, we are situated 20 minutes from the Kota Kinabalu International Airport.

Our Doctor’s Profile
Dr Terrence Soong is the founder of eyeMedics Specialist Eye Centre. He earned his medical degree from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom and went on to train at various teaching hospitals in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). Upon his return to Malaysia, Dr. Soong practised as an eye specialist in the University of Malaya Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur and was the chief resident of the Ophthalmology Department.
He is one the few Malaysians to be conferred Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists of London.
